| Sure, draft, don't overlap wheels, have a good time, and finally, don't let the carbon wonder bikes intimidate you. I race my 02 roadie about every weekend, and it doesn't hold me back. |

60 cm, headtube reducers to accommodate threaded steel fork. 700x28 Vittoria Rubino Pro tires. I think my downtube decal is smaller than normal...as I requested.
The stealth tuxedo all arounder.

|
|
HELLO!
I purchased my Gunnar Fastlane last Thursday, the 3rd of June and absolutely love it to bits! I was fitted on a Waterford machine back in April and have patiently been waiting for this beautiful work of art, and boy, has it paid off to wait patiently. I am all smiles with the look, feel, and overall robustness that this machine offers me. Since the weekend I have put only 54 miles on it, not much to really make an accurate review but for what I gather thus far, this Bike rocks!!!
Current setup is:
SRAM Rival Group set components, chain wheels, cassette, derailleurs, brake levers and cranks.
Shimano XT Disc hubs FR/RR.
DT Swiss R450 Alloy rims.
Ruffy-Tuffy Tyres.
Chris King headset.
FSA Bars and seat post.
WTB Speed seat.
Blackburn Flea red and clear light / flashers.
Cannondale seat bag.
Arundle plastic bottle cages.
And a Schwinn computer.
Basking in the sun right after installing the trip computer.
Day one, standing in front of Skiers Peak, now named Outdoor Action Company. Fitter / Owner Chad is taking the photo of me here.
Even the local geese wanted to check out Gunnar!
All in all, I will be using my bicycle for a daily commuter (26 mile round trip) and for light country touring. I have been using my current bicycle for all my short trips like shopping, dining, and small errand commuting and absolutly love the lifestyle.
Thanks for reading, hope to see ya around!
OH, here is a video walkaround: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybS5N7rnG5g enjoy!

|
|
This is my new Fast Lane build-up. It turned out really nice with the black & white panels on the pearl in black paint scheme. The pearl in black paint is stunning in person. You can just make out the black lines around the panels, which turned out better than I thought it would. Took it out for a quick 20 miles today and it rides beautifully w/ a relatively relaxed geometry. Handles my 210lbs body frame quite well. I have it set up as a 1x10 with a 46t up front and a 11-36 in the rear which gives me all the gearing I really need.
Sram Force crank and shifters w/ XX cassette and XX rear derailleur. Chris King headset and BB. Thompson Elite post w/ some 3T throw in to the mix. Mavic TN-719 rims laced to DT Swiss 240's running 28c RibMO's

You actually caught some of the black pearl in the photo. The panels with smaller "Gunnar" decals looks great.
My buddies laughed at me when I suggested all I needed was a 44 or 46 up front and a 12-27 in the rear. The fact you have a 11-36 makes it better.
Solid ride with solid parts pick. It's nice to see someone who knows their riding and picks a bike that is best for them and not some fad.
Enjoy. |
