Not currently near a shop but trying to determine if my Roadie circa 2004 has a 1" steerer tube? I need to order a new stem. Any suggestions on threadless 1" stems if it does?

By 2004, most of our bikes were 1 1/8". If the outside diameter of the head tube measures 36mm (1 3/8"), you have 1 1/8". If it's only 32mm or so (1 1/4"), then it's 1". If you're going threadless, you'll find shims that reduce 1 1/8" stems down to 1".

Thanks,

Richard
