I am looking at purchasing an unridden unbuilt 56cm crosshairs frame. Currently, I am thinking about building this to a singlespeed / fixed bike to use mostly for commuting and recreation. In general, I am hesitant because of the size and the application. I do not have the money to get a professional fit but have taken the following measurements (used for fit calculator at competitivecylcist.com):

Inseam: 32
Trunk: 25.5
Forearm: 14.5
Arm: 24.5
Thigh: 23.15
Lower Leg: 21.75
Sternal Notch: 56.8
Total Body Height: 69.25

Not sure if this will mean much to anyone else, however, your comments are appreciated (both as to sizing and building the frame up for singlespeed / fixed use).

I'm about an inch taller, with the same inseam. I ride both a 56 and 54 Gunnar Crosshairs, 100mm stem on both. Standover isn't great on the 56, but the bars are higher for more of a cruiser position. It's really hard to determine if it's the right size without riding the bike to the least. Good luck with your bike search!
