Here's my new, stealth 1x10 Gunnar Crosshairs. She needs a good bath and waxing - I'll post prettier pictures after.

This is my roadie, a 2005 I think. Ive had it for awhile, but it recently received some new parts loving.

It has a Alpha Q CS10 fork (OX steer tube), Chris King/Open Pro wheels, Sram Rival 10 speed group, Thomson stem, Alpha Q post, Flite. Built for long days in the saddle, and comes in around 18lbs with all the bottle cages and computers on it and stuff.

Here is my 52 cm Sterling Silver Gunnar Crosshairs. I've had it since February '06, and I think I finally have it setup how I want it. Here is a list of the specs:

I use the Crosshairs for anything from touring to trail riding. Total weight is just under 24 lbs. with pedals and cage. That isn't particularly light, but it is strong enough for technical single track, and still great for long distance riding. I purchased it used (the frame was built in Oct. '01). Here is a picture of my wife and her new, Candy Plum over Charcoal Silver Sport at the lookout for Lower Yosemite Falls.

The bike is set up for upright riding. It has Shimano flat bar road shifters (R770) and front derailleur (R773).

The crankset is a 50-39-30 105. The chain is an Ultegra 10-speed.

The rear derailleur is an XT, with a 10 speed 11-34 cassette from IRD.

The wheels are OpenPro with 105 hubs and DT Swiss spokes.

Unfortunately, we placed our order the month before Candy Plum was made a color of the month. Bummer ...

But it's a great bike.

I believe my Roadie is one of the first off the production line with the full True Temper frame built in September/October 2003. It's got full Ultegra, a Fizik Aliante saddle, matching red Michelin carbon tires and Bontrager Race Lite wheels, seat post and handle bars...as much Wisconsin pride as you can get on a high end steel bike.

Ultegra 10 speed equipped and she's as fast as I could possibly want. Corners like mad, and is the smoothest thing on 2 wheels! I love the fade the Gunnar guys did on the fork. I'm so happy I went with steel!

Here is a pic of my 29er Rockhound for our Gunnar rider gallery. Does this make me vain? Also, a couple of my fattie. A Surly Pugsly rattle can painted Royal Blue. I ran Snocat rims instead of the Lg Marges. Even with the Endomorph 4.0, it rolls pretty darn good. But, when the tire pressure dips down below 15#,it starts to get a little waggy in the rear. The wider Lg Marges would spread the tire bead further and stabilize it for sure. I hope I can still get the pressure down enough for really soft trails conditions(fingers crossed). Im also using a Bontrager fork up front.
It quickens the steering quite a bit. It feels more like a regular bike instead of a coal barge. Bike weighs in right at 30 lbs. Not bad for a fattie! Wider rims would have added at least 3 lbs. This thing really floats well. And traction up the yin yang. I am really surprised at how well it pedals.

It is a blast to ride! The real acid test comes when it has 35# of gear attatched to it. The outdoor pics are of a ride I do right outside my door. Eagle River. Alaska kicks ass! Merry Christmas to you guys. Labs Rule!

I've had several other brands of 29ers and this is the best handling. You guys nailed the geometry.

My Gunnar Roadie. This bike is a 03 Pearl in Black. This is a gorgeous color that shines in the sun, but maintains that classic look. Believe me, the pictures do not do this bike justice!! This bike has a more traditional geometry and was intentionally built to have a more upright position. Campy Centaur 10 Speed throughout. The wheels are Campy Record hubs with Velocity rims. Hand built by Tim at Yellow Jersey. Reynolds Ouzo Comp fork. Record narrow chain. Thomson seatpost and stem. Easton Carbon Pro short reach bars. Continental Ultra Gatorskin 700 x 25 tires. Selle Max Flite saddle.
Rides like a dream !!!!

Been riding my new British Racing Green Crosshairs for a couple of weeks now.
It's exactly what I expected -- smooth, stable, and pretty fast.

I equipped it with 9 speed stuff:
Dura Ace bar end shifters,
Ultegra triple crank and front derailleur,
XT cassette and rear derailleur.
I put Paul Motolite V-brakes on it, and I use DiaCompe 287V levers.

I really like how the gold Chris King headset looks with the green paint.

Makes a great everyday bike when I'm not on my R33.

Alas, the driveway is clear of snow.
