I know that color is obviously higly subjective, but I am having difficulty selecting a color. Since the Gunnar staff works day in and day out with bikes and has seen alot of colors, do you have any advice about color selection? The colors of the month that are in effect now just don't grab me. But because I am splurging on custom geometry I would like to stay with one of the standard (no charge) colors. Black seems to be a bit different, but still pretty classic and I have heard easy to match......thanks.

Confused about Color

Went through the same thing as you did, even the custom geometry. I went with the standard yellow and was really impressed! Makes the bike more exciting then black. A very vivid, yet standard color. I am happy :D

Heh. I went through the same quandry as you are going through. Just to make your life more miserable you can get a Waterford paint job or custom job done. http://www.waterfordbikes.com/2005/data ... /index.php

:D

I'm going for a black and candy red with maple leafs. :)

Interesting...I am having the same problem and had better decide soon. It would be nice if the standard colors were actually shown on bikes rather than the small color samples on the web.

Whatever you do, don't go for a red / yellow fade, they're dead common :P

Seriously, fades look good on welded frames, whereas lugs look classy with hard lines up to lined lugs. Find yourself a drawing of a bike frame, make lots of copies, beg, steal or borrow whatever colours you fancy in mrker pens and go forth and design thy bike.

If flash by nature, do it on your computer.

Of course. if you pick a stock solid colour, the choice can't be that hard!

But why not have YOUR bike, instead of someone else's

Regards

Dereck

I decided I needed something different for my Ruffian. Richard Schwinn had to call out to Area 51 to get some dead space aliens. They then ground them up to make some cool glow-in-the-dark paint. Should be done soon.

I'm on my second Roadie and both were "color of the month." I just got a yellow-to-orange fade '05 Roadie last week and am very pleased. The lime color available now looks pretty awesome. Of the "stock" colors, I think yellow or black is the best choice; blue and red are kind of blah.

A Roadie painted in Lime Twist can be viewed in the Rider Gallery under Beau @ Endurance Sports.

Ooh, my bike is famous. Yep, that's my Sport over there on Bike Forums. Gotta represent... or whatever it is you crazy kids say nowadays. I've gotta give credit to whoever had the Lime Twist Rockhound at the Cronometro Bike Expo in Madison, WI this year. That was the bike that convinced me to go with a Gunnar, and I had to pull the trigger when that green came up as Color of the Month.
