Hi,

I've been seriously considering a Rockhound 29er, but have a question regarding frame geometry.

I currently ride a medium Vassago and love the way the bike rides, but its too big for me. It looks like Gunnar geometry is similar, but not exact.

My biggest question/desire is that I love the "in the bike" feeling that the Vassago provides. Can anyone comment on the feel of the Rockhound geometry with respect to rider height/fit "in" vs. "on top of" the frame?

The Rock Hound is designed to keep you in the bike - with a long top tube that should be combined with a relatively short stem (80-105mm instead of 90-120 for a road bike). We keep the seat tube relatively steep for easier climbing and the head angle slack to maintain stability on descents.

How a bike feels also depends on your dimensions. Long-legged riders will always feel more "on top of" a bike than those with proportionately short legs. For special cases, that's why we offer custom geometry.
