Hi Folks,

I just discovered Gunnar through 1x1 in Minneapolis and I'm really impressed with the community, quality, and custom options, as well as being made next door in WI.

I'm looking for a light-touring, commuting bike. The Cross Hairs or the new Grand Tour sound interesting. I'm 6'8" and will need at least a 65cm. I'll be doing a mix of short city trips for exercise, commuting, and a few ~100mile weekend trips.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has a 65cm or greater Gunnar, or from the frame makers. What has been your experience with riding or building bikes this size? I'm looking for a bike that i can keep for a long time, what will the frame need in 10, 20, 30 years? Anything else I should be aware of? I'll probably do 105 as a group.

Any tall folks, please weigh in.

Hi Nick,

One on One does great! As for tall bikes, two words: No Problem. Both Marc and Richard are 6'5" and 6'4" respectively and we have built alot of frames for pro b-ball players and other tall folks.

If you are not loading the frame with touring gear, I would begin with the CrossHairs platform for the use you describe.
