I am ordering a new Roadie as an additional bike. I ride a Basso Gap. I plan to set up the Roadie much like my Gap, down tube shifters and 42/52 chainrings. Would also like a threaded fork, and I know it is 1-1/8 inch. What are my factory options on the threaded fork? If I can not have a threaded fork, it is not a show stopper.

Chris King makes a headset called the Devolution that will allow you to use a 1 inch threaded fork with a 1 1/8 inch frame. You can see it here:

You can also get spacers to let you use any 1 inch headset. That's what I used on my Sport.

Thank you. I will give up and just take the Gunnar steel fork. Nothing rides like steel! I am being told that I will like the threadless system and that in some way it is easier. I guess I can learn something new.
