i finally picked up my crosshairs which i bought used. fits perfectly, rides like a dream so far, but i noticed that my head tube is a 1" while the specs say it should be a 1.125" when did this change? or is mine just not stock?

Your serial number will confirm the date of your frame but we seem to recollect we changed to 1 1/8" HT in late 2000.

I like the 1" better anyways. It goes well with the classic steel bike, also the older crosshairs has a smaller diameter tubeset, which as far as style goes, is classier. The only downfall is the lack of carbon forks, but who needs that anyways with a cross bike? Steel is real... Aluminum/carbon/ti is also real, but doesn't rhyme.
