I have a custom Sport on order. I hate to bug my lbs because it has only been ordered for a week. Does the factory give production status updates to the shop, or does the frame just show up? I have never bought a bike except off the rack, and wondering when it will come is going to drive me nuts. I know anything custom takes longer, and I also know better than to depend on a certain time. I once waited over a year for paint on a car, but nonetheless, here I am asking. Any chance the factory is running ahead?

Thanks for not calling too often. We run with limited office staff. We've become very good a meeting our projected ship dates and notifying your shop if there's going to be an unexpected delay. We have been surprising many shops with our better than estimated order turnaround. Like every small builder, we encounter delays - mostly from supply related problems.

We handle most orders based on first-come (or confirmed) first-served. Please let your shop know if there are any specific deadlines in mind. Then we can let you know if there are any problems and work to avoid them.
